After I made the first two versions of this bracelet making project with SuperDuo two-holed seed beads, I used some copper-lined Twins with copper metallic round druks. Because the Twins aren’t as consistent in shape as the SuperDuos, the bracelet had a much softer, more organic feel to it. Try it yourself and see which version you like better!

I started seeing twin and super-duo designs sometime last year – it took me a while to realize that these new seed beads are 2-holed! Once I realized this, I was enthralled – how could these beads NOT open up the world of beadweaving to new patterns?! I had to get in on it….

Czech Beadstuds are two-hole, pressed glass beads shaped like pyramids. The larger Beadstuds, used in my free pattern—the Pyramid Band—measure 12mm square and 9mm in height. These beads are heavier and thicker than other Czech two-hole beads and come in some lovely Czech finishes.

This is a new pendant I designed, using Czech two-hole Rulla (Rula) beads, Swarovski crystal Rivoli stone and Japanese seed beads. The leaf shaped pendant has a 3-dimensional and textural grained look thanks to the use of Rulla beads, and it can be hung from any type of necklace.
