Who doesn’t love crystals? As much as I tried to resist the siren’s call for Swarovski crystals, they eventually wore me down. While we now have choices – Chinese crystals, Precioso crystals, etc. – nothing is as fine as the colors and bling you get from Swarovski. I especially love the 2xAB finishes – it can change the entire color of the crystal. Jet 2xAB is my favorite – yellow/green/blue/gold all combined in one sparkly bead. Enjoy these patterns – maybe they’ll give you an excuse to buy more crystals… Like you need an excuse!

The length of the necklace is 18 inches. The shape of the bicones when weaved into units of right angle weave creates a lace-like effect on the bicones, perfect for low-neck and V shaped outfit. With crystals you can wear this on formal occasions and using other colors you can be as hip and casual, even with plain jeans.

Nothing could be more fun than making–or wearing–this stylish Spiro pendant! While at Bead Fest Philadelphia a few weeks ago, I spotted Beaducation’s Education Lead, Aisha Formanski, wearing one and I just had to find out more! As it turns out, Beaducation’s founder, Lisa Niven Kelly, was inspired by the Spirograph (remember that from childhood?) and string art from days gone by. Lisa offers a free video tutorial on the Beaducation web site here. I decided to give it a whirl, so to speak, and craft one of my own. Turns out it’s super-easy, although I would recommend watching Lisa’s entire video before jumping in. In it, she offers a ton of really helpful tips!
