Today, we are going to learn about beaded beads. What could be better than a big bead made of little beads? Kind of like beads squared. Beaded beads make great pendants, earrings, part of a clasp or link them together into a bracelet. Try some of these this weekend.

I had the urge to make some beaded beads. I found a very good tutorial on You Tube. They are actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. I was doing great until I decided to try to add drops. For some reason the drops confused me enough I had to go re-watch the video. The spheres with drops ended up being my favorites and I think I’m going to make more.

Although they can be worn alone, I designed them to be companion beads to go with large round beaded beads. My favorite look is when you add handmade lampwork glass beads, and string them simply on a piece of silk cord… Beading nuts and washers is fast and easy. You only need a few pinches of each bead color, making this a good choice to use up your leftover seed beads from other projects.

I’ve been making beaded triangles… Lots of triangles. What’s more, these triangles are made out of other triangles. Two-hole triangle beads, to be exact, plus Rizos, O beads, and Japanese seed beads. Joined together, they make a nice, delicate bracelet. But they can also make many kinds of beaded beads. Here’s one made out of 20 triangles.
