Tutor Sarah Burnett-Moore recently had to make a basic Peyote stitch bezel for a project so she decided to share the experience by creating this earring tutorial. For those of you who thought that life is too short for bead weaving, have a go at these great little ‘Bud’ stash-busters.

There are tons of materials that can help you achieve an on-trend boho look, but my absolute favorite component for creating boho pieces is the tiny but mighty seed bead! Whether your preferred stitch is peyote, brick stitch, ndebele (herringbone stitch), right angle weave, loom weaving, or bead embroidery, it’s easy to incorporate tons of colors and big, bold patterns into your boho themed designs.

I haven’t done any bead weaving for a while, so I thought it would be nice to try something simple just to get into the swing of things again. This is a tutorial on how to make a ring with a flower detail and like the title says, it is nice and easy!

Meet the Highly Unlikely Tetrahedron…I was presenting my work to a group of like-minded people, other mathematical artists and mathematicians who loved art. They had many fascinating ideas to share, and they educated each other, plus they had interest in my work and opinions about it. I was in math-art-nerd heaven.

So I decided to design a necklace to show my love of a game, that I did eventually play seriously, but I’ll always get the warm fuzzies when I see the fairies. So this elegant necklace is made by bead weaving, specifically the flat square stitch. Then just simply attaching a chain the correct places. Now I have discovered that there are no flat square stitch instructables, so let’s fix that.

When I first started bead weaving I went searching for recommendations for which bead weaving thread I should buy and although I found a few people mentioned which thread they used I didn’t find anywhere where I could compare the different threads available. So if you are looking or thinking about starting bead weaving I hope this post may help you a little bit decide which to buy…
